Ignore the manual and they are fab!
I'm using these in combination with a D-Link DHP 1320 router. I wasted several hours of my life trying to pair the router with a WiFi repeater when I first got it - basically the instructions on the manual and the CDs disn't work. I then has a strong cup of coffee while I browsed through the router setup pages on my PC and found a section called PLC SETTINGS under SETUP - it's as simple as A B C. A. Make a note of the 16 digit password on the back of the repeater. B. Plug the router into the mains and PRESS NO BUTTONS. C. Run your browser, type 192.168.1.1 to open the setup pages. The default password is blank. Go to SETUP, PLC SETTINGS and MANUAL ADD MEMBER. Enter the name you want to give the repeater and its 16 character password and click ADD. You're done. You can then connect your laptop to the repeater to configure it. Following this method it has just taken me 5 minutes to get two repeaters up and running, including unpacking them from the box!
