Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro Features

Xperia™ mini pro brings the optimized slide-out keyboard with smart functionality first seen on the Xperia™ pro to a compact smartphone. A subtle but fast Type & Send functionality eliminates the need to open a dedicated app for each type of message, and Smart Keyboard triggers predictive messaging actions automatically when the user slides out the keyboard. Xperia™ mini pro also comes pre-loaded with Office Suite and McAfee antivirus software, letting consumers manage documents and e-mails instantly and securely while on the move.

Building on the success of the original mini series, this innovative smartphone comes packed full of features, powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon™ processor, and runs Google's Android™ – Gingerbread 2.3. Beautifully designed, Xperia™ mini pro integrates best-in-class imaging and display technology from Sony, including Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine and HD video recording (720p).

Surprisingly responsive and snappy device.

I bought this for my wife a few months ago, but I've used it a fair amount, and I have to say it is a pretty nice little device. Screen resolution is low compared to higher-end smartphones, but with a smaller screen it isn't that noticeable. The keyboard is very responsive, even for those with large hands, and the little flourishes Sony has added to the Android 2.3 interface are actually welcome for a change. I particularly like the little "app bubbles" in the corners of the screen where you can keep your most often used apps. It is a bit chunky in terms of depth, but that is to be expected with keyboard-sliders. All in all, I really enjoy it, and am looking forward to see if Sony can bring out another version with a bigger screen and thinner body running Android 4.0 in 2012. If they do that, I may end up picking one up for myself.
